Ninth and Final Hidalgo/Warner Memorial Golf Outing
On Friday, July 22nd, Team Hidalgo/Warner hosted their Ninth Annual Hidalgo/Warner Memorial Golf Outing at Western Lakes Golf Course in Pewaukee, benefiting military veterans and their families. With 150 golfers and over 168 event attendees, Team Hidalgo/Warner raised a total of $38,820 to benefit Fisher House Wisconsin, the Daren M. Hidalgo Memorial Fund and Richard D. Warner Memorial Fund. The fundraising event included lunch, a raffle and an 18-hole scramble. The families of Army 1st Lt. Daren Hidalgo and Marine Lance Cpl. Richard ‘Rich’ Warner presented Fisher House Wisconsin with a $12,900 donation check on September 21. This amount represented their contribution from funds raised at the Ninth Annual Hidalgo/Warner Memorial Golf Outing. Having wrapped up the Ninth Hidalgo/Warner Memorial Golf Outing, it’s the perfect time to look back at what we’ve accomplished over the years. The combination of registrations, donations, and sponsorships enabled us to raise over $374,000 that have: funded scholarships for deserving high school students, supported Fisher House which helps families of military veterans stay close when they’re hospitalized far from home and also supported other worthwhile veterans’ causes. We’ve honored the memory of 1LT Daren Hidalgo and LCPL Rich Warner, whose lives and lasting legacy still inspire everyone who crossed their path and many who followed in their footsteps. Your time, financial support, enthusiasm, heartfelt tributes, and commitment year after year have made it all happen. This has been the last Memorial Golf Outing, but far from the end of our journey. Daren and Rich will continue to shine their light on the world. The great causes we’ve supported will continue their important work supporting veterans. You have made this possible. No words could adequately express our appreciation for that. You have given so very much and enriched many lives along the way. Thank You! We welcome your continued support in memory of Daren and Rich: Daren M. Hidalgo Memorial Fund- https://www.rememberdaren.com/memorial-fund/ Richard D.
