We are proud to present the 9th Annual Hidalgo/Warner Memorial Golf Outing which will take place at Western Lakes Golf Club in Pewaukee on July 22, 2022.  The event raises funds for scholarships and numerous charities that support military families.  Last year we raised over $39,971.  We hope to top that fund raising total with your support.  While the golf foursomes fill up very fast, we encourage people to join us for the lunch, and raffle.  If you can’t free up a Friday afternoon then please sponsor or donate a raffle gift.  More information is contained at 9th Annual Memorial Golf...

2022 Daren M. Hidalgo Scholarship

The Daren M. Hidalgo Memorial Fund seeks to assist Dallastown High School seniors who have strength of character, a strong academic record, commitment to pursue a post-secondary education, and a desire to contribute to society. AMOUNT:  The scholarship in the amount of $5,000 for tuition and books will be paid out as a lump sum award. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: The eligibility criteria for the Daren M. Hidalgo Scholarship are as follows: Enrolled full time as a high school senior progressing normally toward graduation in spring/summer of 2022, with plans to enter a college in the United States no later than the fall following graduation. A strong commitment to pursuing and completing a post-secondary program at an accredited institution. Involvement in co-curricular and community service activities. Past and continued good behavior, both in and out of school. United States citizenship. APPLICATION PROCEDURES: To apply for the Daren M. Hidalgo Scholarship all documentation must be postmarked or emailed by March 25, 2022. Students must submit the Daren M. Hidalgo Scholarship application. Be as complete as possible while filling out this application.  Incomplete applications will not be considered. Forms must be typed or neatly printed. Students must submit their official high school transcript. Students must submit two recommendation letters from either a teacher, coach, principal. guidance counselor, or employer. Fantastic 8th Annual Hidalgo/Warner Memorial Golf Outing

On Friday, July 23rd, Team Hidalgo/Warner hosted their Eighth Annual Hidalgo/Warner Memorial Golf Outing at Western Lakes Golf Course in Pewaukee, benefiting military veterans and their families. With 150 golfers and over 189 event attendees, Team Hidalgo/Warner raised a total of $38,971 to benefit Fisher House Wisconsin, the Daren M. Hidalgo Memorial Fund and Richard D. Warner Memorial Fund. The fundraising event included lunch, a raffle and an 18-hole scramble. “This year’s event didn’t have the dinner and the auction due to COVID 19 precautions, but the turnout was outstanding,”  said Jorge Hidalgo, Wilde East Towne Honda principal partner. “We are honored to host this annual event, not only to remember Daren and Rich, who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country, but also to support veterans and military families.” The families of Army 1st Lt. Daren Hidalgo and Marine Lance Cpl. Richard ‘Rich’ Warner presented Fisher House Wisconsin with a donation check on October 13 for $13,000, representing their contribution from funds raised at the Eighth Annual Hidalgo/Warner Memorial Golf Outing. “Fisher House Wisconsin is extremely grateful for the ongoing support provided to us by Team Hidalgo/Warner,” said Dirk Debbink, president of Fisher House Wisconsin.   We pledge to use these funds for impactful and meaningful support for Veterans and their families as a living memorial to Daren & Rich. Successful 9th Annual Fallen Heroes Ride

American Legion Riders, Post 605, Dallastown, PA completed the Fallen Heroes Ride on Saturday, June 5, 2021. It was a beautiful day for a ride which started at ALR Post 605 in Dallastown, PA.  The event drew over 150 bikes and went off flawlessly. The ride honored, U.S. Army 1LT Daren Hidalgo, West Point Class of 2009, who was killed in the line of duty on February 20th, 2011 while serving in Kandahar Province, Afghanistan, U.S. Marine Corps SGT Christopher Wrinkle, who was killed in the line of duty on July 31st, 2011 while serving in Herat Province, Afghanistan, U.S. Marine Corps SSG Tosca, K-9 Military War Dog, who was killed in the line of duty on July 31st, 2011 while serving in Herat Province, Afghanistan, U.S. Marine Corps SSGT Benjamin Hines, who was killed on April 8th, 2019 while conducting combat operations in Afghanistan, and ALL of our Fallen Heroes from the Greater York County, Pennsylvania area.    The ride culminated at the Veterans Memorial Gold Star Healing and Peace Garden where the three Gold Star families were honored with Blankets of...

2021 Daren M. Hidalgo Memorial Scholarship Award

Due to COVID 19 we opened up the 2021 Daren M. Hidalgo Memorial Scholarship to all Dallastown Area High School (DAHS) seniors.   We received applications from over 25 well qualified students.  The memorial scholarship award committee decided to provide a scholarship to both Ryan Klutz and Lauren Garcia.  Ryan Klutz played lacrosse, and football.  He was a member of the National Honor Society from ninth through twelfth grade.  Ryan will be pursuing a degree in computer engineering at Virginia Tech.  Lauren Garcia participated in numerous school activities supporting the community.  She was active with the Big Buddy Little Buddy Program, served as President of the Health STAT Club, and was engaged with the school Interact Club.  Lauren was an active volunteer at the Country Meadows Retirement Community of Leader Heights.  This fall she will be pursuing a degree in Applied Health Sciences at Messiah University in Mechanicsburg.  Ryan and Lauren are the eleventh and twelfth recipients of the $5,000 Daren M.
